Former Akali Dal sarpanch Palwinder Singh shot dead in Punjab, probe underway

Amritsar (Punjab), July 08, 2025 (ANI): Former Shiromani Akali Dal sarpanch, Palwinder Singh has been shot dead in Punjab’s Saidupur village. Raja Sansi SHO Mantej Singh said “The accused is the neighbour of Palwinder Singh. Earlier as well, they had a minor dispute over a parking space. Yesterday, after another heated argument, Shubham Sehajpal, the neighbour, fired at Palwinder Singh using a licensed pistol… A case has been registered against Sehajpal Singh and his wife Kirandeep. We have formed three teams to investigate the case”.
