Once Suppressed, Taiwan’s Taigi Language Gets Support from Afar

Its use was once banned in schools and punished in public but Taiwanese Taigi is now being embraced by a new generation of writers, artists and activists. The revival has reached as far as Scotland, where Scottish Gaelic writers are now collaborating with Taigi speakers on a groundbreaking literary project.
